Colostrum 80/40®; is concentrated through advanced fermentation and ultrafiltration techniques and guaranteed to deliver a minimum of 80% proteins, including 40% immunoglobulin G (IgG) by total dry weight.

Colostrum 80/40®; is specially prepared to remove the casein and lactose normally present in whole colostrum and tested to confirm that the final product contains less than 1% casein and less than 1% lactose by dry weight.


 
40% of What?
Don't be fooled. Many colostrum products claim "40% IgG," referring to 40% of the PROTEIN content. This translates into as little as 20% of the total colostrum in each capsule. Colostrum 80/4O®; provides 40% IgG by TOTAL WEIGHT, twice the IgG of these other products.
 


The colostrum powder used is produced from pure bovine-origin colostrum liquid collected from controlled, healthy Grade A U.S. dairy herds within 24 hours of calving.

These dairy herds are of U.S. origin and are fed diets free of animal by-products, as well as free of antibiotics, hormones, and pesticides.

We do not use colostrum from European or New Zealand sources. Our colostrum is produced in state-of-the-art, licensed food processing facilities located in Washington and California. These production facilities follow GMP and HACCP procedures and are also registered USDA establishments for the preparation of veterinary biological (pharmaceutical) products.

All incoming colostrum liquid is quality control checked for pH, total solids, and specific gravity. This assures that only the best liquid colostrum is used to produce the spray-dried powders.

The immunoglobulin activity (IgG, IgA, IgM) of our colostrum products is measured using the latest Radial Immuno Diffusion (RID) technology. Every lot of colostrum used is assayed for IgG content, microbiological contamination (total plate count, coliforms, Salmonella spp., Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and fungi), moisture, fat, protein, antibiotics, total carbohydrates, ash, bulk density, and scorched particle. Particle size testing is also conducted on every lot of colostrum produced.
